Case Reports: Implantation of an upper lateral front tooth (open healing)

Implantation, upper lateral front tooth, open, suture-free healing

To preserve natural soft tissue conditions, the inserted implant is capped immediately with a gingiva former. To provide the soft tissues with adequate support and to accelerate wound healing, the gingiva is not sutured in the conventional way, instead the wound is completely closed using flex barrier.

With the help of flex barrier, good restoration of natural soft tissue esthetics without scarring can be confidently predicted. The bacteriostatic and antiseptic properties of hyaluronic acid also reduce the risk of bacteria-induced wound healing problems.
